The Office for Persons with Disabilities can be contacted by applicants with disabilities who intend to apply for admission. Applicants may choose any course of study in accordance with their interests. The University does not impose any restrictions on the choice of studies based on the candidate’s condition.
All applicants go through a qualification process that matches their chosen field of study. The website of the UW Admissions Office contains the necessary information related to the university registration process. Detailed recruitment rules are posted on the UW Internet Recruitment of Candidates website.
The University of Warsaw does not introduce any concessions or exemptions from examinations for people with disabilities. Due to their health situation, a candidate may request that the form of the exam be adapted to their needs. To obtain a change in the form of the exam, you should submit to the BON an Application for adaptation of the entrance exam for university candidates.
What kind of support during the entrance exams can you expect
Blind and visually impaired candidates
The written part of the entrance examinations is conducted in Braille, enlarged print, or using a computer with audiovisual software, and the duration of the exam is extended up to a maximum of 50%.
Candidates who are deaf and hard of hearing
In the case of oral exams, the assistance of sign language interpreters is offered, or the exams are converted to written form.
Candidates with impaired hands
Changing the form of the written exam may involve extending the duration of the exam to a maximum of 50% and using a computer.
Candidates in wheelchairs
Examinations will be held in premises that are fully architecturally accessible. Transportation by adapted university buses is available.
Candidates from outside Warsaw
can use accommodation in adapted rooms in student residences for people with disabilities during the entrance exams.
How to get assistance
In order for the University to provide you with all the conditions described above, it is necessary for candidates to provide the following questionnaire and documents describing the illness or disability to the BON in advance (at least 7 working days before the exam date). Otherwise, we cannot guarantee the adaptation of the exam.

Transport
Candidates can use the UW’s transportation service in Warsaw in relation to the university enrollment process. This service is especially dedicated to people with mobility impairments. To obtain transportation support:

- Fill out and deliver to the BON an application for adjustment of the entrance exam for college applicants (download the application above);
- provide the BON with medical records confirming current health status;
- fill out the electronic Transportation Questionnaire on the BON website.
