The Accommodation Committee at our Office (BON) offers 83 places adjusted to the special needs. Some of them are prepared for students with mobility impairment, ie wheelchairs users.

Information about Dormitories at UW can be found in the Rules and Regulations of the Student Halls of Residence at the University of Warsaw

The University of Warsaw does not provide assistance in the activities of everyday life.

How to apply for accommodation

The application for a place in the Student House is launched in the USOS system by the Student Welfare and Support Office.

There are three resources of places available:

The group of UW places is dedicated to all students regardless of degree, form, and field of study.

The group of places of the Student Welfare and Support Office for doctoral students.

A group of places for people with health difficulties, especially those with a disability certificate and chronic illnesses. In this group, select “places of the unit: the Office for Persons with Disabilities. (BON)”

Select only one to continue submitting the application in USOS.

If you choose a place from the BON group, send attachments with medical documentation in an email to bon@uw.edu.pl.

Criteria for getting accommodation from the BON pool

Register with the BON – this is required for us to process your application.

The most important criterion for requesting an adapted place is your health situation. In addition to the application in USOS, you must provide the BON Accommodations Committee with medical records describing health difficulties and with indications of accommodation needs (room adjustments).

Explain the need for an adapted room in your application. This is especially significant for the Accommodations Committee, as it allows it to make decisions in accordance with your needs. If you are reapplying for a double room, you can indicate in your application your intent to live with the same person the following academic year.

Contact us to get more information on application dates and required documents.

The number of places in dormitories is limited and interest in living in them is very high. Therefore, you should apply for a place at a certain time. Only then will you have a chance of being granted.
