Decisions to make changes in studies are made by the dean or the director for students’ affairs at the proper didactic unit. The OPD recommendation may be required in the decision-making process.
To receive the opinion of the OPD the student should:
- Register in the OPD by filling in the registration questionnaire
- Document health difficulties that require adjustments to equalize student’s chances during studies (the range of changes for each student is determined individually after detailed analysis of medical records);
- Complete the application for changes of venue during studies in USOS system.
Examples of applied changes of venue: modification of examination procedures (computer, digital version of the tasks, magnified versions of the exam tasks, time of the exam set individually), higher level of absence etc.
An opinion about the state of health that is based on medical records is sent along with the student’s application to the Dean/Head of Student Affairs. The OPD opinion does not contain detailed information about the specific disease or disability, it only confirms the necessity of the application.
After receiving positive decision, the student should establish with the teachers all the details concerning the way of passing the exams.
